I just don't want to have to use some formed EMT metal conduit or the like and be stuck with the storage issue. I saw one very good video where the same as my leaping arches was astic electrical conduit with tie downs for stability. I live in Colorado so I'll have to factor in snow weight and possibly ice. But it's maybe 12' wide and enough to clear a Hyundai and Subaru car). I have 4 leaping arches now and just can't see a solid frame spanning a two car driveway (I have to measure the width and needed height. I've been reading and reading before this post but still feel like the deer in the headlights thing trying to evolve from LOR to the pixel world.Īs far as the structure, that was one of my big concerns. As far as injecting power at various locations, I couldn't just put the power source in the box with the controller? If I did need more power, that would be attached to the controller or no? Thanks again for all the replies. I have two small CCR trees currently that I use with LOR but just want to add these smart pixel arches this season as well and seem to be stuck in a little bit of confusion. When getting in to pixels like this, would it be better to use a different sequence editor/creator for ease of use? Thanks for any help you can give me with this project and transitioning into the world of pixels. Would I just use two or more rolls/strings and somehow try to combine them in an editor so that they can have seamless color changes along the arch? Also, I've read about xlights and FPP. What would be the best type pixel to use? Also, it seems no pixel rolls/strips/etc are long enough to span the arch. My confusion comes with the pixel strips themselves. I've been researching a lot and seem like I would go with the AlphaPix ready to run controller/power supply from Holiday Coro and integrate it into my LOR display using a network switch off the PC. This year I want to expand to have 3 pixel arches over my 2 car driveway but can't seem to figure out how best to do it. I've been running a LOR show for years now and am very comfortable with the LOR software and superstar sequence editor.
